iSuppli publish new estimation for microprocessor market share. Share of market in Q2 2007 in comparison with Q1 2007 increase for AMD and decrease for Intel, but situation is reversal if you compare Q2 2007 with Q2 2006. More information you can find at

Intel introduced quad-core cpu's for High-end and multiprocessor servers / september 2007
Intel offer quad core processors for a systems with 20 and more servers or desktops with consumption of 50 Watts and speed to 3GHz.
Intel comes with first quadcore processors, developed especially for multiprocessors servers. MP servers are used for the applications, that needs a high cpu power, like databases or business inteligence.
The most anticipated premiere of 2007 / september 2007
AMD announced to analytics, representatives of medias and many companies that
"The most anticipated premiere of 2007" will take place on September 10th. It's easy
to guess, what it will be - long-anticipated launch of AMD's quad-core server processors, code-named "Barcelona".
According to reports, the launch is planned for September 10th in San Francisco at 18:00 local time. Processors
will become available the next day after the show; AMD wants to aviod "paper lauch" as much as possible. The desktop variant,
code-named "Phenom", will follow 60 to 90 days after Barcelona (mid-November to mid-December).
There are also many speculations on the web about supposed core frequencies of the new CPUs. By now, AMD has showed models
working at 3.0GHz, but on September 11th only processors up to 2.0GHz will be available. There are almost no information
about Barcelona's performance - AMD showed some benchmark reults, but they have been withdrawn after wave of criticism.
