Producer was clearly trying to keep original concept of Boomslang – what are very low profile and big primary buttons - all main features were preserved. However, new technology and new materials were used – rubbery part is combined with titanium coating. Razer mice are symmetrical in most cases and new Boomslang doesn't make an exception. All the buttons are provided with Hyperesponse™ technology.

Gigantic primary buttons are dominative feature of new Boomslang. They are nicely ergonomically shaped with uplifted periphery parts. At the tip of the mouse pointer, buttons are nearly touching the table – surface.

Ball is as usually placed in the middle of primary buttons. Comparing to Lachesis ball, this one is more narrow and made of white semitransparent plastic material. It's possible to use green underlight, when it's needed. The mouse ball makes 16 steps/turn (Lachesis needs 24).

Periphery buttons are big as well, one on each side of the mouse. The right one is for little finger and the left one is a thumb button. Both are rubbery and very good shaped.

The lateral sides of the mouse are coated with rubbery material that gives it a good grip. The hull is made of special titanium – coated plastic. The three snake-logo is not missing, however it's not possible to underlight it like on Lachesis.

But Razer mouse without underlighting wouldn't be a Razer mouse...on the bottom part of Boomslang, there's a glow pipe, underligting the scanned surface in very elegant, decent and undisturbing way.

As you can see on the pictures, sensor is placed in unusual way, in the back side of the mouse's body. Three little mouse feet are made of teflon, and when compared with the other gaming mouse, there are rather small. Obviously, Razer Zero-acoustic Ultraslick™ Technology have been used.

Cable is very thin and accurately springy to be easy handling. USB connector seems goldie, but probably not enough to make a wedding ring of it.

Design – Second opinion (Ľubomír Dóci - reviewer)

"On the first glance, you're captivated by Boomslang's unusual shape. I like very much the size of left and right periphery buttons. Buttons on lateral sides are placed in a smart way and green underlighting is very impressive in the dark.”
