Razer Boomslang™ CE 2007 + Razer Destructor™

It was in 1998 when unknown Razer Company released the original 1000 dpi ball mouse - Boomslang, few months later followed by 1400 dpi and 2100 dpi. Now, 10 years after, the legend was reborn. For the Christmas 2007, Razer Company re-issued the popular design and came out with the newest Boomslang Collector’s Editon 2007, limited to 10.000 units worldwide. One of Razers got into our hands, and we're bringing you this exclusive review, together with comments on Razer – Destructor – precision gaming surface.

Razer Boomslang™ - Packaging and Content

Razer Company has always been keen on packaging of its products and recently reviewed Razer Lachesis was not an exception. Razer Boomslang CE 2007 comes housed in an exquisitely stylish and decent black box with aluminium clip with embossed Company's logo. Clip is coated with suede, what make packing simple and protects this elegant box against scratches. Let's open the box now.

Accompanying the each packaging is the credit-card-shaped item numbered card with the identifying number of your Boomslang. In our case it was SAMPLE 10.000 – sample for press only.

On the backside of the numbered card, there's written:
„There's no way back. You've became a part of Elite group of individuals owning exclusive Razer Boomslang Collector’s Edition 2007 – limited to 10.000 units worldwide. The cult was born, that's how it all started. Razer Boomslang Collector’s Edition 2007 once again rewrites history.“

Inside the black box, there's another case - round, black cloth-covered tin. Simply luxury. Top side of the black tin is embossed with Razer logo.

Let's have a look inside. Razer still keeps us thrilled, hiding the new Boomslang deep in the box. Under the cover, there's a driver installation disc, introductory guide and round brochure, informing us about the history and the development of Razer products. And here it comes! Tucked away in the depths of the tin, there's a Razer's jewel. Look at at pictures.

Wrapped in a silver foil, two sets of replacement Teflon feet make part of the packaging.
