It is quite clear that the champion of today's test is Corsair Flash Voyager GT. No surprise, that is why it was made for - to score. Anyway, I would say it is not the ultimate victory, there is still something missing, and there is still room to reach the perfection. Like the biggest minus, I would consider its rubber body. On the first sight it seems virtually indestructible, perfectly durable and water resistant. But I guess for ordinary user, who does care and handles the drive carefully, this does not mean that much. Contrary, I suppose that after the drive has being used for some time, the construction shows its imperfection and PCB might get unstuck, or USB connector might get broken. The commercial section of Corsair Company considered
TrueCrypt
- software with on-the-fly encryption, to be one of the advantages of Flash Voyager. This I do not want to deny, but the truth is, that this software is free, and that is why it can be used by everybody. Its
actual version 4.3
, fully supports Windows Vista.
Regarding all the results of today's test, I assume that Corsair Company could improve Flash drive's performance at working with little files. But I do not have any further objections. The Flash Voyager is really speed, and many times, while I copy files on the USB drive, I get out of my mind that I do not transfer files between two hard disks. And that is why it really worth!
